Frilly Cake


Here's something I've been wanting to do for a while - make a frilly, pretty cake. I made this for my sister on her birthday this year. It's basically three 8-inch layers of chocolate cake. I made my own buttercream frosting, dyed it a lovely shade of hot pink and piped ruffles all along the top. Oh, and one whole can of edible gold spray paint gave it a bit of sparkle. It turned out better than I expected, and was quite delicious, too.
